Illustration Friday: Balloon

Originally I was going to draw something with a hot air balloon because I love them and they're so cool, yet I dare not ever go in one...unless it's with wine of course and perhaps a blindfold. This is actually based off a painting hanging in my friend's apartment. It's a different approach to the same picture tho and this was a quick solution to this weeks topic and I am pretty happy with it.
I think the next few weeks to come are going to get real busy with all my little projects, gift making, work, at some point designing christmas cards, laying out my website (so everyone can finally see what I do in a whole) umm toy designs and posting some of the other stuff on here that keeps me occupied most of the time... I'm sure by the end of the month I am going to want to sail away on a little balloon to somewhere far and un-stressing (I know I know that's not a real word :p )

Illustration Friday: Late

I guess I would say this is inspired by Alice in Wonderland...The whole rabbit being late thing. I do wish I had gone about this differently but I having been working more on my Halloween costume than my illustrations lately. Oh well... At least I was still able to put sometime into this and I hope it turns out well.

Illustration Friday: Sugary

I like this topic because the first thing I thought of was this cute little candy store on the corner of washington ave. in my town that was across the street from the middle school. Actually I remember it's name "Rainbow Corner." I think it was actually deli/ diner kind of thing but when you first walked in at the counter there was tons of candy in the window and all over the counter and on the back wall.This probably doesn't sound to excited but when your a young liz its pretty amazing. I remember on the days I had to walk to school stopping off at the store and filling a small paper page with candy using my lunch money. Sadly to say tho the store is now a real estate agent. yay....

This feels a little incomplete to me. It really is and it's been hard not taking most of my hand colored stuff into the computer and completely redoing it in illustrator. I must resist....
I'm very much in the mood for fall right now and fall-like things...
