Ornament Swap!

This year I was able to participate in a ornament swap my coworker organized. Luckily I was in the process of wrapping up this project I have been working on for months so I finally had time to swing back into crafting and all that stuff again. Here's what I made for my ornament.

I'm back!

I've been on a bit of a hiatus from my blog and working on some of my own projects for while. Hence now and the new year I will plan to back more on here. Stayed tuned for a bigger announcement on a project I have been working on and an updated look to my blog, hopefully all this winter!  Most posts to come!

SOOO I know it's been awhile since there has been anything new going on here. I have neglected my blog! As always I do have projects going on but nothing finished to really show. I have a big on right now but I am not quite ready to say what it is yet but stay tuned. In the meantime here are some sketchbook drawings I can show!

It's been a busy few months so I haven't been able to keep up with my blog but here is an illustration I made for my friend's Sherryl and her now husband, Jeff! They use this at their wedding as a guest book and it's such a great idea. Here is a picture of the original art and it photographed by Kamila Harris at the wedding. Please check out her blog. She does beautiful wedding photography!

I figured I would show the sketch. I don't always do that but I do love the sketch. There's a chance I like it more than the full color version! However I think it's just a different feel.  You can see how I didn't really stick with the sketch too. Oh well!

I'm a little tied up working on another project. Actually I plan to be busy working on this other project. It could be a big one but I'm not going to say anything yet. ;)

January B-day Card!

The Sketchbook Project 2013!!!

Here it is! It's about 2 years later since the first time I did the sketchbook project. Didn't think I was going to attempt another one again but I decided last year why not.  I choose the topic "Creatures" because I am always drawing little animals and such. The drawing began around the end of summer.  It's funny how I signed up for this thing about 5 months ago but really got cranking away on in the last few weeks. I guess last minute is the only to really get things done around here! This is going to be a big post so please take a look and take it all in!

I am going to miss this little book but some really good things came out of working on this. You'll see a little later that some of these drawings are going to give way to other projects and illustrations in the near future, so stay tuned!

I hope whoever out there enjoys my sketchbook as much as I loved working on it! This is a good creative start to a new year! Please feel free to leave me comments!

Happy New Year!

So begins another year. I will maintain not making resolutions since I tend to not keep up with them however I will try to make an effort to complain less and be happy for all that I have. Thank you to my friends and family being there throughout the year and what a year 2012 turned out to be! I wish everyone a happy and joyous New Year! Cheers! 

With that said, here is a look at my mask that I made for last night New Year's masquerade party! I unfortunately have only one picture of this and there is a glimpse of it on in my Instagram feed. It's my first attempt of using leather which was surprisingly not as hard as I thought it would be but I think I need a whole lot of practice until I can get it down right. For my first attempt though, I would say not bad! 

Hopefully this new year I plan to keep up with my blog a little better and maybe start to work hard at being able to do what I really want to be doing with my life and my art. So good luck to myself! In the meantime stay tuned I will be posting pictures from my next sketchbook project before I send it on it's way!!
