Little Blue Parrot

The four things I love using are kraft paper, wood, markers and colored pencils. When I got all of these going on pretty cool stuff happens every now and then. Colored pencil on wood is definitely my favorite to work with right now. For me it blends a lot easier than acrylic paints do and I can take my time. I have better control over my coloring and in a way its kind of like working with oil paints but a whole lot less messier. The downfall is I go threw my colored pencils a hell of a lot faster! Maybe I should start playing the lottery so I could win and buy more art supplies and be able to afford a studio where I can spray fixative and not have to sleep in the same room with the fumes. Silly Liz what was I thinking!
Right now I'm interested in these brightly colored birdies I 've been doodling up so definitely be expecting some more of this in the next few posts.

IF: Swarm

I really wanted to get this done early on this week but a few things kept me from doing so. I always say better late then never...

IF: Layer

Yikes, after a night of technical difficulties here and there I finally got this done. I really wanted play around with this more in Photoshop but unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to work to it's full capacity. Geez, I am itching for a new upgrade and a computer! Well anyway, I was thinking about layers of clothes, scarves, hats, tights, socks and just about everything to keep warm in cold. Can't wait for this winter to pack it's bags and go!
Stay Warm!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Sooo I have been doing a lot of paper crafting lately, perhaps too much! Well I did decide this year that I would make every card instead of spending money buying cards, plus I have an abundance of paper at home that needs to be used. I made this card for my grandma's b-day which is this week. I hope she likes it!

Collaborative Project: #1

This is an interesting drawing my boyfriend, Del Almeida and I worked on. I think you can pretty much figure out what I drew. The results of this particular collaborative effect are entertaining at least for me. Hopefully there will more of these projects to come!
