Perhaps it's a Jack A Lope

I never posted this way back whenever. Never really got good pictures of it either but I wanted to share. Here's my little faux taxidermy creature. It's not perfect but I do find it charming in a creepy way. One day never, I may get back to this and make another.... maybe.

Ornament Swap!

This year I was able to participate in a ornament swap my coworker organized. Luckily I was in the process of wrapping up this project I have been working on for months so I finally had time to swing back into crafting and all that stuff again. Here's what I made for my ornament.

Pink Fox

So far out of all the plush I have ever designed the Mr. Fox character has been one of my favorites! This I guess is a girl version since it is pink. However when I finally get around to doing the arctic fox one, that will really be the girl counterpart to Mr Fox. She will be complete in mostly all white design and eye lashes which I kind of meant to incorportate into this design but completely forgot! This is also a custom request from a friend, since I wouldn't naturally think to design a pink fox! She sure is cute tho.

I just wanted to say a little something about the scarf. The scarf is hand knitted all by myself! It's pretty much the extend of my knitting capabilities but I just want to  give a little shout out to my friend Sarah Vanderbeek because she took the time out to show me how to knit like 8 yrs ago when we met at my first design job. I can do other knits but I always get kind of frustrated when it comes to yarn.  However Sarah is just fantastic when it comes to knitting and I am glad she at least got to teach me the basics!

Ladybug Lizling

Here is a custom order for a ladybug. This little guy isn't very little and has been snacking on too much leafy greens, that just means extra luck right?! Measures approximately around 9" x 8", pretty solid and made out of micro fleece, my fav. Pretty sweet I must say but I think I don't want to be taking anymore custom bug orders. They're kind of tricky to figure out and I don't really like bug as much as those cute furry critters! Trying to get these orders done so I can come up with some new designs and get that store up....... I know I know!

Lizlings: Caterpillar

I don't really like caterpillars in real life.... We'll it's not that I don't like them but I feel like they always seem to creep up least expected. Then I freak out and scream as if my leg is on fire. It's totally the wrong reaction to a sort of cute fuzzy little bug. However when I was looking online at real pictures of them, they're definitely some out there to streak about if you ask me.

Anywho, this little guy was requested from a friend for a gift. I think it's the most least threatening caterpillar around! I like how this came out but it is limited to being shown on one side. I'd like to actually make one that can stand alone but that might require some figuring out. However as long as this little guy can make some little person smile I think that is all that matters!

Mr. Fox

This one I have been working on for a few weeks. It's a bit tricky to have a really good idea and then you go to make it 3D and it doesn't quite sew up the way you want it to. That's why the first toy is always a prototype but it really looks like there is no need for improvement. I am really happy with this fox, it might be my most favorite Lizling to date! Now that I have the design for the fox done I have plans to do an all white lady fox next!

Scout and Friend

Sooooo I haven't really been keeping up with my blog quite as much as I want to. I mean in reality, I would love to be doing nothing but making art and toys and posting it all day long but I need a paycheck so I gotta do what I gotta do if that means working hard from 9 to 5 and squeezing in a few hours afterwards for myself. By all means I'm not being down on work. Just like every human being out there, there is always something else you would rather be doing especially when you're an artist and you got a never ending list of projects. Sometimes you just want to be sitting by the water somewhere with a beer and sketchbook at hand.
Anyway in the meantime, I have been breaking my finger tips sewing away little critters here and there. I am just about ready to throw some stuff on my etsy store hopefully soon! My latest new plush is an octopus. This guy who currently is nameless is the first version of what's to come. There was a lot of trial and error working with it but I think I have a good template to work with now. It's pretty darn cute and I am currently working on a better version for my friend Patty. Soon after that's done, the little guy will follow in a purple color in that cute little familiar face we see through out my blog.
The little pink bunny however is the famous bunny in just about every illustration I do. His name is Scout. I've been meaning to work on him for months...maybe even a year by now! I wanted to knit him a cute striped scarf but my knitting skills are a bit rusty but I was able to still hook him up with a nice white one. Eventually Scout will follow me on my travels and we'll see more of him...kind of like a traveling gnome kind of thing....
That's all for now! Enjoy :) And as always Thank you for stopping by!!

Beeeeep Bot

She's my cute new girlie robot. Not that you can tell she's a girl other than the pink!
I heart her a little. Another creation for a friend! Don't think I'm handing these out for free tho! My finger tips worked hard and bled for these. They need some cash to buy band-aids.

Lizlings!

I wish I had more pictures of some my past creations but I usually make them and get rid of em quick! Well now I actually try to take pictures of my latest works or force the person who gets it to take one for me. The two robots were made for my friend Kelly. She wanted to give them as presents to an expecting mother/friend. The squid who is definitely one of my favorites. It was a birthday present for Del. Both my friends kindly took these pictures for me so it's about time I posted them!

Follow the Blue Bunny and get that Robot...

I know the bunny could totally have a way cooler background but he sure is cute. The robot is the last thing I worked on and completed. Some time soon tho there will be much more to show.
